I’ve been meaning to start a little weekly roundup for a while now, and what better time than now? Little Loves is a space to share the things I’ve watched, listened to, read, and made over the past week—because, let’s be honest, sometimes life just flies by, and it’s nice to take a moment to reflect on the little things.
This week has been a bit of a mixed bag—some brilliant reads, questionable Netflix choices, and a fair bit of crafting. So, let’s get into it!
Watched
I finally got around to watching the second season of The Night Agent on Netflix. Now, I absolutely loved the first season—it had me gripped from start to finish. But this one? Meh. I’m struggling to get into it, and it just doesn’t have the same spark as the first. I’ll probably finish it out of sheer determination (and because I like to at least try and get my money’s worth out of Netflix), but I’m not holding out much hope that it will redeem itself.
Listened To
I’ve been making my way through The Blitz by Juliet Gardiner on Audible, and it’s been a fascinating listen. It’s one of those books that really immerses you in the history and everyday lives of people during wartime Britain—so much detail, so many personal stories. I love a good historical deep dive!
On the flip side, I’ve also been subjected to APT by Bruno Mars and Rose, courtesy of Elizabeth, who has it on repeat. And when I say repeat, I mean repeat. I think I could now perform it in my sleep.
Read
This week, I’ve been reading The Nazis Knew My Name, and I have to say, I’m really enjoying it. It’s a harrowing yet powerful memoir, and while it’s a tough read in places, it’s one of those books that really sticks with you.
I’ve also been reading a lot about the proposed education bill, and to be honest, it’s worrying me. The implications for home educators could be significant, and I’ve been trying to stay as informed as possible. It’s a hot topic right now, and I know so many other home-ed parents are feeling the same way—uncertain and frustrated about what the future could hold.
Made
This week, I’ve been busy making some personalised teddies for a friend and a set of personalised mugs for a workplace team. I love creating custom gifts—there’s something really special about knowing you’ve made something unique that someone will treasure (or at the very least, drink their morning coffee from!).

Final Thoughts
And that’s a wrap on this week’s Little Loves! It’s been a mix of history, Netflix disappointment, relentless kid music, and crafting chaos—so, pretty much a standard week around here.
What have you been watching, reading, listening to, or making this week? Let me know—I’m always looking for recommendations (and maybe a break from APT! ).
See you next week!
