Autumn Adventures with Muck Boots

It’s chilly. It’s raining. It’s windy. The leaves on the trees in the front garden are turning orange and red, and dropping to the ground. The beaches are already a lot emptier than they were a couple of weeks ago. Autumn is most definitely here.

Do we let that stop us going out on adventures and having fun?

Absolutely not!

We are firm believers in getting outside, whatever the weather. It’s all about wearing the appropriate clothing. We all have good coats and wellies for those Autumn and Winter walks on the beach or in the countryside.

Muck Boots

Alex, in particular, now has very warm and toasty feet when we go out, thanks to his muck boots from The Original Muck Boot Company. Set up in 1999, the aim of the company is to make boots for both adults and children that are able to withstand some of the wettest and dirtiest environments without compromising on comfort.

Alex has a pair of the Kid’s Hale boots. They’re light, they’re robust and they’re durable. These aren’t boots that are going to fall apart after a few wears. Alex has tested them out thoroughly, jumping in lots of muddy puddles and splashing in the sea in them and they’ve kept his feet warm and dry, thanks to the Neoprene fabric. The natural rubber overlays protect the boot, which has reinforced toe and heel areas, and the rubber will stay flexible for years.

Muck Boots

The Hale boots retail for around £50 a pair. It sounds quite expensive when I compare them to their £10 supermarket wellies, but there is no comparison. The quality and comfort of the Muck boots are incredible and make them worth every penny. Alex agrees – he would wear his every day if he could. I can see Benjamin eventually getting these passed down to him and them still being in excellent condition!
