Peppa Pig. Whatever your own thoughts and opinions on her, there is no denying that kids everywhere love her. The boys all loved watching it, and now Elizabeth is a big fan. So, as you can imagine, she was SUPER excited when we rolled up at Smyths Toy Superstore (along with Harrison who was off school!) to go and look at the new range of Peppa Pig Weebles Toys.

We wandered up and down the aisles, me trying to convince her that no, she didn’t need yet another baby doll until we saw the range, packaged in the colours and graphics that we have all come to associate with Peppa Pig. There were a few toys available – wobbly cars and trains, Weebly Peppa families and the set that Elizabeth immediately lunged at – the wind and wibble playset (RRP £32.99).

So, Weebles – most of us over a certain age (ahem!) have at least heard of them, if not had the toys before, but these were a revelation to Elizabeth. In fact, I think they were to the boys too, who will deny it all day long but had just as much fun playing with the set. For those of you who don’t know what Weebles are, they are figures with rounded, weighted bottoms, that as the song goes ‘wobble, but don’t fall down’. This makes them superb toys for little hands to play with, and the giggles we got, especially when the kitten took an interest, were brilliant.

So, the wind and wobble playset. it’s big and chunky and colourful, which is going to catch any toddler’s eye. Peppa can go on the slide and be wound up and down on the steps using the winch, swing on the swing, or do her favourite – jump in the muddy puddles! It can be easily connected to other Peppa Pig Weebles playsets to increase the play value. It does only come with one character – Peppa – but you can buy the other characters to use with it.

The Peppa Pig Weebles range starts at £14.99 and is suitable for children aged 18 months and over, and is available from Smyths Toy Superstores.
