Like most kids, the boys hate tidying their room up or picking their toys up but give them the broom or an anti-bacterial wipe, and they are off cleaning away like little fairies, so when the Casdon Deluxe Cleaning Trolley turned up at our house, the boys were over the moon. So was I – maybe I could begin to delegate the housework!
The Casdon Deluxe Cleaning Trolley comes in two designs – Henry (red) and Hetty (pink). We had the Henry one, just like full-sized Henry Hoover we used to own and the kids loved.
The trolley was really easy to put together – just click a couple of parts together, and add the stickers and it’s ready t play. It contains a battery operated hand vacuum with real suction (needs 3 x AA batteries, which aren’t included), a mop, a bucket, a broom, a dustpan and brush, two pretend bottles, a cleaning cloth and a paper rubbish bag. Once it’s all put together, the various items slot inside the trolley, and apart from the two pretend bottles, everything works.
The kids loved the fact that they have a working vacuum – it does need the button pressed down to work and it is obviously very low suction, but still, I can get them cleaning the stairs, right? The paper bag and cloth (which was like a piece of thick kitchen roll) were slightly pointless, as they can only be used once.
The Casdon Deluxe Henry Hoover cleaning trolley is a great toy for encouraging imaginative play and teaching the kids a bit of responsibility. It costs around £25 and is available from all good retailers, including Amazon.
