My boys are huge fans of PJ Masks. In fact, as I sit here typing this up, they’re glued to it. There’s something about the three young friends who, at night, turn into their animal alter-egos: Owlette, Catboy and Gekko and embark on plenty of exciting adventures, learning lots of lessons on the way.

You can imagine how pleased they were when Romeo’s Lab Playset turned up. Benjamin was over the moon that it arrived when the others were at school – he had several hours of uninterrupted fun with it!

The lab, which is suitable for children aged 3 and over, can really roll and opens up to reveal a secret lair with two levels of play! The playset features a light and sound control panel, working crane, laser launcher, and rolling lab charger! Romeo can use the control panel to plot his mad-scientist schemes and then shoot his laser launcher when the PJ Masks come to stop him! The playset also comes with one Romeo figure, one Romeo’s Robot figure and three bonus tools! When it’s time to move on to the next villainous adventure, kids can transform the playset into Romeo’s mobile lab and take the mischief on the go!

I did need to dig out a screwdriver to pop the crane on but everything else was ready to go. It does need 2 x AA batteries as well, which aren’t included.

Ben has loved creating scenes and making up stories for Romeo, and shortly after I had put my camera away, he went and dug out his other PJ Mask vehicles and figures to play with alongside it.

The only niggly bit about it was the teeny tiny tools that came with it – I don’t think it will be long before they’ve disappeared into the black hole that is their bedroom! There is a handy little pocket inside the lab to put them in, if your children are the sort that actually put things away.
