This week has been a slightly strange one. We had a really lovely weekend, visiting Ikea and buying some furniture and bits and bobs for the house, and then lunch at my mums for Mother’s Day. Then on Monday, I woke up feeling sick. And then was sick. And basically was sick all day. I obviously couldn’t go to work that day, and I had Tuesday off as well because I needed to be clear of the bug for 24 hours. I went back on Wednesday but even now feel really drained and tired! Not being at work for those two days has completely thrown me out – I’ve got used to the routine now!
Anyway, onto this week’s Little Loves…
Watched
This one has been really hard this week as I have barely watched anything. The only thing of note I have watched is the last two episodes of Call the Midwife, which of course I bawled my eyes out at. Is it even possible to watch that without crying?
Read
I’ve been carrying on with re-reading my Torey Hayden books which I mentioned in last week’s post. With the kids, we have been rediscovering The Gruffalo thanks to a pack we had in the post – watch out for the review next week!
Heard
I am absolutely IN LOVE with this track from Sigala. It’s so upbeat and summery!! I can;t wait for the summer where we can have the windows open and this blasting out.
Wore
On Tuesday I just couldn’t get warm or comfortable, so dug out my huge baggy jumper which has gone all bobbly and shapeless but is so comfy and snuggly!!
Made
We’ve actually been pretty creative this week, even with sickness. We’ve made some lovely signs for the playroom using materials from our latest Baker Ross box. I was really pleased with how this turned out!
And Lastly…
I have a desk! It’s nothing special, just a basic white table from Ikea in the corner of the room, but it’s my little space (when the kid’s aren’t hogging it!). It’s so nice to be able to sit and work in a more organised space, rather than balancing the laptop on my knee and papers all across the sofa. I’ve also found that I am a lot more productive when I’m sitting at it.
How was your week?

We have had a sick bug in this house too, I’m so over it and feel washed out like yourself. I hope you feel better soon. I love the little sign you’ve made, I wish I was better at craft things! #littleloves
Hope you’re feeling better – we’ve had the winter vomiting bug doing the rounds and it has been utterly rotten
Hope you’re feeling better lovely, I hate how drained having a bug makes you. I’ve not watched Call The Midwife this series and really need to have a good catch up. I’ve heard it’s a sad one so will get the tissues out ready. Have a lovely weekend x
Hope you’re feeling better now. Ha ha I always cry at Call the Midwife, I think it’s compulsory! Have a great weekend x
I think I need to make myself a workspace. I end up spread out all over the kitchen!
We love the Gruffalo here too.
