Created by the people behind Paw Patrol, Rusty Rivets follows the story of Rusty, a kid who always saves the day with his resourcefulness and creativity. Next to him on his many adventures is Botasaur, a robotic dinosaur.
The kids love the show, so they were excited when a toy Botasaur turned up for them to review.
It comes partially assembled, so you can build it to have feet or wheels. It’s simple enough for most kids to do themselves – Harrison and Alex have no problem swapping them over, although Ben needs a bit of help. Once it is fully built, it really comes to life! If you press the button on the back of his head, his eyes light up and he makes sounds. It does require 3 x LR44 batteries, which are included.
The kids all really enjoyed playing with it, although I think they were a little disappointed not to see Rusty himself included with it, especially as there is a seat for him on the Botasaur. It is part of the ‘Build Me’ Rivets System which means if you have other Rusty Rivets toys you can use the pieces together. It’s a great way to encourage imaginative thinking and construction skills.
The Rusty Rivets Botasaur is aimed at children aged 3 and over and is available from Amazon with a RRP of £19.99.
