All three of the boys are huge fans of PJ Masks. We’ve reviewed the PJ Masks HQ in the past and that was a huge hit with them. If you’re not familiar with the popular kids’ show, PJ Masks features three 6-year-old children Connor, Amaya and Greg who lead relatively normal lives by day, but by night become Catboy, Owlette and Gekko. These three masked crusaders are the PJ Masks team who fight crime by night time; going on fun adventures, completing missions, defeating criminals and solving mysteries!
We were sent two toys from the new PJ Masks Turbo Blast Racers range to try out, which of course, the boys took very seriously!
The toys are suitable for children aged 3 and above and retail at £14.99 each. They’re large and chunky, each coming with one 3″ PJ Mask figure. They’re dressed in Turbo Blast outfits with a matching race helmet, and the children will enjoy trying to collect all the characters.
We were sent the Gekko Mobile and Romeo’s Lab. They quickly got to work opening the pack and playing with them. They’re a good size and the characters are fully poseable, which gives them much more play value. The vehicles themselves have various points where the characters can be slotted into place, meaning they won’t fall out, but they were a bit tricky for the kids to put in themselves.
I loved the fact it was just a ‘proper’ toy. I didn’t need to do anything, nothing needed batteries and there were no noises to irritate us. The kids could just get on and use their imaginations to play.
