Meetchu – A Dating App Review PLUS One Month Free Premium Membership

Meeting someone new when you have children is hard. It’s hard enough to get out when there’s someone else at home to look after the kids, but when it’s just you at home – it becomes even more difficult. Many parents, when looking to get back into the dating game turn to online dating and apps. It’s so much easier and convenient, giving you the chance to scope someone out before meeting up.

However, we all know the horror stories, and the issues that come up with dating apps – unsolicited ‘intimate’ (ahem!) pictures, people using fake photos and information being just a couple of them. Whilst no dating app or website is ever going to be completely foolproof, Meetchu is doing it’s very best to make the process of making connections and meeting someone new much less stressful.

The app has some really innovative features such as video profiles (think Insta stories!). I love this because I think you can get much more a sense of what someone is like from a video. You can see them, hear their voice and suss out their body language before you make the decision to swipe.

The key feature, for me, however, is the secure voice and video calling. It is one thing to strike up a conversation over written messages, but again, a voice or video call gives you so much more information about someone. It’s probably not the best idea to start giving your phone number out willy-nilly to someone you start talking to online, but with Meetchu, it’s all done securely without you having to give out your number. For someone like me, who hates giving out their number to people they know, let alone people they don’t know, it’s great news. The video calling also reduces the risk of catfishing, which is a huge problem when it comes to online dating. As well as the video and voice messaging service, there is the usual text messaging, complete with emojis  -I can’t have a conversation with anyone these days without dropping in an emoji or ten, so I love this.

I think Meetchu are really on point when it comes to what people are looking for in a dating app. It’s simple to use and has some superb features, and I can see this becoming really popular. It costs as little as £4.99 a month for the premium version, which gives you unlimited voice and video calling, and priority in match searches.

If you want to try out the app for free, I have a code for my readers to get one month of premium membership for free – just click here to download. It’s sadly only available for IOS at the moment, so if you’re on Android, you might have to wait a little longer to get on and meet someone new!

Have you ever tried Meetchu? What did you think? I’d love you to let me know in the comments.
