We are really excited to be able to say that we are part of this year’s Bigjigs Play Patrol. We are massive fans of good quality, wooden toys, which Bigjigs absolutely excels at. We will be busy playing with some of their toys this year and letting you know what we think of them.

One of the first things we have been sent was the Magnetic Weather Board, which is £18.49 on the website and is for children aged 3+. We’ve had something similar to this before and the kids loved it. Sadly, our old one was very flimsy and not very magnetic and didn’t last very long. This one has the years up to 2022, and I can see it lasting until 2022! It’s beautifully made and really good quality.

Every morning, Harrison and Alex have bickered over who can update our weather board. They love putting all the pieces carefully back (there are places for all of the pieces) and then rearranging it to show the day, date, month, year, season, weather and the activity they are going to do. I was really pleased to see that the beach was one of the options for activities – as you know that’s one of our favourite things to do! They also love moving the hands on the clock, and the clearly labelled hours and minutes are really helping both of them with learning to tell the time.

The magnetic weather board gets a big thumbs up from us. Next week we will be sharing our thoughts on the Safari  Animal Building Blocks, which we were sent for Benjamin to try out.
