Woody, Soup and Big Hero 6 #LittleLoves

Oh hello March…you sneaked up on us quickly!!! I say it every week, but this week has been such a blur – I usually have my Little Loves post written up on Thursday night and completely forgot!

What have been our Little Loves from this week?

Watched

Not a great deal. On Saturday (our official moving in day), the TiVo box decided to pack up. Virgin were pretty good and came out on Tuesday to replace it, but it meant we lost two years of recordings, which I am pretty gutted about. However, we managed to record a few favourites – Big Hero 6 and Hotel Transylvania are favourites of both us and the kids at the moment, so we have been watching them. I also had the chance to see Harrison perform ‘Little Red Hen’ to some year one children as part of the World Book Day celebrations, which was pretty cute!!

Read

I’ve tried to make an extra effort this week to turn the laptop off and head to bed twenty minutes earlier to read a book. At the moment, I am re-reading ‘Somebody Else’s Kids’ by Torey Hayden. If you haven’t read any Torey Hayden books before, I definitely recommend them. She is a special needs teacher in America and her books will break your heart. I’ve also written a post about my top ten books to celebrate World Book Day.

Capture

Heard

I’ve always been a huge fan of Tinie Tempah, and I absolutely LOVE this track. I had it blasting in the car on the way to work!

Wore

A rather lame attempt at a witches costume for World Book Day. No photos of it, but here was Harrison’s outfit for the day!

Made

I have actually cooked this week – twice!! I do actually quite like cooking, but our old kitchen was so small and hideous that I couldn’t bare to do much in there, leaving it up to Graham. Now we have a lovely kitchen I’m remembering how I like doing stuff in there. I’ve made lasagne one night this week, which was a huge hit with all of the kids. Alex and I also made leek and potato soup this morning. I make lots and then will whack it in the freezer for lunches next week.

And lastly…

We are in the new house and almost completely unpacked! It feels like home already, and our old house feels a lifetime away. I am so, so excited to be living here, and can’t wait to get out in the garden and make it look perfect ready for the Spring!

How was your week?littleloves2
