Harrison, Alex and Benjamin all absolutely love being outside. As soon as they wake up, whatever the weather, they are asking to go outside. Of course, we are pleased that they love the great outdoors so much – it means that they are getting fresh air, exercise and burning off energy instead of sitting in front of the TV. They’re out there, exploring and learning about the world.
We have been asked to be HiPP explorers and share our outdoor adventures, which we are really excited about. We love HiPP products – they were a brand that we trusted when we were weaning the boys. The range has over 120 products for every step of the weaning process, from first tastes of cereal and individual fruit pots, to jars, pouches and tray meals.
After a long day in the garden, the last thing the kids want to do is come in and sit down at the table for a meal – and I don’t want to be spending sunny days in the kitchen cooking. HiPP has a great range of cute heart shaped microwavable meals in a range of flavours, which take just a few mins in the microwave and can easily be enjoyed out in the garden on a picnic blanket.
I’m not a massive fan of microwave meals usually, but HiPP meals are ones that I will happily use. They make sure that all their products are organic and use only the best ingredients, meaning they are convenient, tasty and nutritional. For over 60 years, they have been striving to provide the very best in nutrition for children and believe in using organic farming methods and techniques to leave a better legacy for future generations.
Our challenge this month was to get out in the garden and have lots of fun. I have to say, it was one of the easiest challenges ever, even with all the rain we have had. There are so many things that you can do in the garden – I’ve shared some of our favourites HERE. We also love just playing outdoors – they have slides, cars, trampolines and this adorable toad stool tent! We’ve also had fun planting wildflower seeds and trying to grow our own vegetables. Hopefully, in a few months, we will have something to show for our efforts!
What are your tips for getting outside and enjoying the garden in the summer?
*We were sent some products for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Ah that’s lovely. My two also love getting outside. My only tip would be to prioritise creating a usable outdoor space for kids. So many jobs come up in the house that take money, but being able to play outside is really enriching for children.

My little girl loves being in the garden too. She has her own little area of the garden that is dedicated to her for growing things she likes, like wildflowers, cherry tomatoes, green beans and she loves spending time tending them. She loves playing outside too, and during the summer holidays we have a project to build a fairy garden!
