Autumn Accessories from LOTD

Autumn accessories from Lotd

At this time of year, I find it really difficult not to hibernate in jeans or leggings, UGG boots and my fluffy parka. I want warmth and comfort, and sadly, that doesn’t always equate to something stylish. When LOTD got in touch and asked me if I wanted to review a selection of items off their website, I was determined to find something that was both cosy and cool.

Sadly, the majority of the clothing on the website doesn’t quite go up to my size, ending at size 16 or 18 (I’m a 20). I was a little disappointed by this, especially as there are some really lovely items on the site, especially dresses and knitwear. I know that my sister-in-law, Kim from Life at an Auntie and Mum, has had some gorgeous knitwear off the website (she has been whatsapping me sneak photos and they look lovely!), so watch out for the review on her blog.

Limited by this, I headed to the accessories section, where I stumbled upon a pair of black suede studded Chelsea boots.  I’ve been lusting after a pair of Chelsea boots for ages and these really caught my eye!

They’re super comfy and seem to go with every single thing in my wardrobe. I’ve literally worn them every single day since I’ve had them – they’re a wardrobe staple!

I headed over to the bag section next – I do love my bags. I wanted something for everyday use that I could shove my camera, purse, phone, keys, toy cars and a packet of baby wipes in. I’d never really thought about a backpack until I saw this little beauty.

It fits everything in and is much more practical than lugging a handbag around, which, let’s face it, can be a bit of a pain in the arse when you’re juggling a pushchair/shopping trolley/three kids.

Finally, I headed back to the clothing section just in case. I spotted some chunky cardigans (remember what I said about cosy and cool?) which were one size. I took the risk and ordered a camel coloured one. I’m dead chuffed because it fits and is still oversized, even on me!

I’d love LOTD to increase the sizing range or add a plus size section – but I’m hoping that in a few months I’ll have lost enough weight to fit in the normal range. Until then, I’ll be heading over to the website when I’m looking for shoes, bags and other accessories.

*I was sent these items free of charge for the purpose of this review. All words and opinions are my own.
