For the past couple of months, I have been receiving a subscription box from Project-B. The boxes, which come once a month, are full of products and samples perfectly tailored for each stage of pregnancy.
This week, I received the ‘Congratulations’ box, which sadly is my final box. It was perfect timing, with Ben making an early appearance!
The boxes, which can be bought as a subscription or a one-off gift box, cost £14 each, but the contents are valued much higher.
So, what was in my box this month?
Baba + Boo Reusable Nappy (RRP £9.25)
Halos N Horns Baby Moisturising Lotion (RRP £4.07)
Nappy Creams from Green People, Metanium and Sudocrem (sample sizes)
Water Wipes (sample size)
Nordic Baby Wipes (RRP unknown)
Babydrops (RRP £9.99)
Sanitising Water (sample size)
NUK Baby Bottle (RRP £4.99)
Venture Family Photo Shoot (RRP £245)
What did I think?
I was mostly excited by the voucher for the photo shoot, which includes a family photo shoot and framed picture, but was gutted when I went to book it to find out that there are no studios local to us (Birmingham – the second city!) and as we don’t have a car at the moment, we can’t get to one within the four month time frame.
I really loved the cloth nappy, and am glad it was included as it may encourage mums who had never considered cloth nappies to give them a go!
The baby bottle was handy – I’ve only ever used Philips Avent bottles so it was nice to try a different brand and see how Ben got on with it.
The moisturiser is a brand I’d not tried, and really liked it – they brand has definitely gained a new customer here!
The nordic wipes were a fab idea – they’re disposable foam wipes so contain no nasties for baby’s bum. However, I HATE the feeling of foam (any material that squeaks is minging!) so I can’t use the actual product. I’m just a bit weird though!
The baby drops are great if you’re breastfeeding, but as we have chosen to use formula with Ben, we won’t be using these. I do like the way they have included products for both bottle and breast feeding mums though.
I’m really sad that my subscription to Project B has come to an end. Pregnancy is such a long waiting game, and it was nice to have something to look forward to each month. The boxes were a good mix of products for mum and baby, with both practical and luxury items. They would make lovely gifts for mums to be, or for treating yourself.
You can find all the info on the Project-B website here.
