Well, what a week THAT was. I knew it was going to be a challenging week – the comedown after the holiday, doing all the holiday washing, catching up on work and entertaining three children. I was prepared for that.
What I wasn’t prepared for was for two of the kids to be struck down with bloody chickenpox.
Alex has had it before, albeit it very mildly, so hopefully, that’s it all over and done without us. Harrison and Ben were covered in spots and were poorly, but they could have been a lot worse. They were whiny and off their food, but the main problem was the boredom. Other than going to the beach on an evening when it was quiet for a quick runabout, we were pretty much stuck in all week. It also meant we had to cancel our review meal at a local restaurant, which hopefully we will get to do this week instead.
