July.
JULY!
A meme I’ve seen floating around on Facebook (I love a good meme!) said that 2018 has gone ‘JAAAAAAAANNNNUUUUUAAAAAARRRRRY FebruaryMarchAprilMayJune’ and that feels about right. January seemed to go on and on forever, but the rest of the year has just flown by. We’re coming up to the last few weeks of the school year, and it’s going to be really busy. We have another sports day to endure (god, I hate sports days!) and Harrison’s leavers assembly (sob!). We’ve also got a friend coming up in a couple of weeks to scope out the area and all sorts of lovely things going on! All of that on top of me landing a pretty intense freelance writing job. I’m knackered already!
This week is another busy but good one. Today is an inset day for the kids, so we are going to Colwyn Bay Mountain Zoo with our church group, which will be lovely, especially with this glorious weather. Then, on the weekend, we are going back to Birmingham because my beautiful little nephew, Freddie, is turning one. I haven’t introduced you all to the Fredster yet, but I have a post lined up about him. He’s my first nephew, and I adore him. I never realized I could love a child that wasn’t my own as much as I do that little boy. Anyway, yes, his mum and dad are throwing a big family BBQ to celebrate his birthday on Saturday, which I’m really looking forward to.
