Transforming a Rented Property with Pixers |AD

Back in October we moved into our new home, one we hope to live in for as long as possible. Been a rented property, it was well decorated but bland, neutral and lacking in any personality. As much as we love our new home by the seaside, bland and neutral just isn’t what we are about. We are about colour, fun, brightness and bags of personality, and that is exactly what Pixers is about.

Wallpapering entire rooms seems to be out of fashion now, with everyone leaning towards neutrality and minimalism, and perhaps just one wall as a focal point. Pixers sell a range of wall murals, photographic wallpapers and much more to create a real focal point and a real talking point to a room.

Living in a rented home, we need to make sure that any changes we make can easily be undone. That puts wallpapering out of the question really, but Pixers vinyl wall stickers are a fantastic alternative. They’re easy to apply – a quick way of decorating a room – and when the time comes to change, they can be removed. If we didn’t fancy putting anything on the walls, then we could go for one of the window films, or even add inject personality with one of the canvas prints.

I love the idea of looking at a cityscape in your living room or flamingos in your kitchen. I know the kids would absolutely adore the lego print in their rooms – all those lovely bright colours! There really is something there for everyone, whatever your interior tastes.

Here are some of my favourites for a nautical themed bungalow by the sea:

For our calming and peaceful bedroom (yeah, right!) – this wonderful image of a floating dock. It looks just like one at a beach by us!

For the kids bright and cheerful bedrooms – this lovely cheerful sailing elements print

For the lounge – this gorgeous beach and anchor scene

If you are looking for a quick and easy way of adding some life to a room this Spring, take a look at the Pixers website. What are your favourites?
