Photo Canvases from Tesco | Review

As a keen amateur photographer, I take hundreds of photos a month, and it’s such a shame to leave them on the laptop. I really like having some of our favourites blown up and put on the wall. Earlier this year, we had a couple of pictures printed and framed and they take pride of place on the living room walls. We have a huge blank wall on the stairs that was crying out for a canvas of the kids. Perfect timing for Tesco Photo to get in touch and ask us to work with them!

Tesco offer a same day delivery service, which is ideal for last minute gifts. When you order by noon, they can be collected after 3pm. Sadly, our local store that offers this is too far away to take advantage of, so we opted for home delivery. It does say eight days for home delivery, but I think we had ours within five days, which was pretty good.

The ordering process was really simple – choosing the photo was the most difficult bit. The website is easy to navigate and there are lots of different choices in terms of gifts – canvases, aluminum photo prints, framed prints as well as the usual mugs, posters, coasters and photo blocks. We opted for a panoramic style one, as the other option was a square one and I’m not really a fan of square pictures. I chose the photo – one of the three boys on our summer holiday in Suffolk.

It was really carefully packaged when it arrived and looks absolutely fine. Somehow, it’s cut the top of Harrison’s head off – I don’t remember if there was a guide when ordering to position the picture, but I suspect that’s my fault. In terms of quality – it’s fine. I’m not going to say it’s anything special, because the canvases I usually order for gifts are a lot cheaper, and are as good as this one,  but this does have the benefit of same day collection if you live near a store.

We haven’t hung it up yet as we are going to be giving the stairs a lick of paint in the next few weeks, but I can’t wait to see it in place!
