Indra Celtic Tree of Life Leather Journal | Review

Those of you who know me in ‘real life’ will know just how much of a stationery addict I am. There is nothing quite like the promise of a new, unused notebook. What makes a new, unused notebook even more special is a new unused notebook that is fair trade, eco – friendly and handmade, like this beautiful Indra Celtic Tree of Life Leather Journal, from Paper high.

I mean, how beautiful is it?

It is covered in leather, which has been handcrafted and stitched by skilled artisans in India using traditional methods. The detailing is absolutely stunning, and each one is unique because of the handmade aspect. The leather is hard wearing, so it can handle the knocks and bumps that happen from being carried around in my handbag.

The pages are made from unlined Khadda paper, which is recycled and acid-free cotton. It’s absolutely lovely to write on – there’s a slight texture to it but to write on it feels smooth, which to me, is really important in a notebook.

This is more than a notebook for scribbling your shopping list in. No, it’s a beautiful journal ready to be filled with ideas, thoughts and memories. It’s one I am most definitely keeping out of the reach of small people! It costs £17.95 from Paper high.
