Fathers Day 2018 | Gift Guide

Two weeks today is Father’s Day, and many of us are searching for the perfect gift for the dad figure in our life. I know I find buying for my own dad notoriously difficult! To help you on your way, I’ve put together a list of things that will make even the grumpiest of fathers smile!

Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Sense Razor

Every bloke needs a decent razor (well, unless you’re one of my brothers or Graham – they’ve all forgotten what razors are!) and the Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Sense is a bloody good one. These retail for about £11 and are designed to give a close shave whilst helping protect skin from irritation. The innovative built-in shock absorber auto adjusts to how you shave giving you the optimum amount of pressure, making a job that many men seem to hate that little bit easier.

Nivea Men Body Shaving Range

To go with the razor, they’ll need some sort of skincare stuff and Nivea Men are always a front-runner when it comes to manly skincare. They’ve released a compact-irritation body shaving stick, which allows for an efficient, fast and protected bit of man-scaping with minimum irritation. It won’t wash off mid-shave and is perfect for lobbing in hand luggage and gym bags. It retails at about £6.00. They could also try the anti-irritation shaving gel, which does the same job in a gel form (£4.50) and follow it up with aftershave lotion (£6.00) which absorbs quickly and moisturises and helps to rebuild skin. I can actually confirm that these products are amazing – my legs feel baby soft!!

Haribo Football Mix

If you want to treat your dad but you’re on a pocket money budget, these sweet treats from Haribo are a quid each! They contain a winning combo of fruit flavoured jelly and foam sweets in football-themed shapes. Perfect for getting them in the mood for the World Cup. You can pick them up in Co-Op, B&M, Nisa and Poundland.

Classic Retro Sweet Hamper

Staying on the sweet treats theme, this classic retro sweet hamper (£34.99) is a winner. A vintage wicker style basket crammed with 1.5kg of everyone’s favourite retro sweets – from flying saucers to dolly mixtures, jelly babies to sherbert and so much more.

Lily O’ Briens Chocolates

If your pa has more of a taste for chocolate, the Ultimate Chocolate Collection (£8) is for him. Each box contains 16 glorious chocolates, including Death by Chocolate, Lemon Meringue Pie and Praline Perfection amongst many others. They are lush!

Dents Leather Two-Tone Coin Pocket Wallet

How lovely is this? Soft, smart and practical, this two-tone leather pocket wallet costs £29.50 and has ample space for cards, coins and notes. It can also be personalised to give it that extra special touch. It’s available from Pen Heaven.

Zippo Leather Credit Card Wallet

Encourage your dad to get his credit card out once in a while with this super stylish and oh-so-soft leather card wallet from Zippo. It holds up to 13 cards and costs £21.50.

Q1 Wireless Mobile Charger

The Q1 Wireless Mobile Charger is the ideal gift for those high-powered, always-on-the-phone Dads. It requires no cables or fuss –  simply plug it in and watch as it charges your phone or tablet instantly! The Wireless Charger is compatible with a wide range of devices, meaning your Dad has peace of mind that he’s always well connected whenever he’s on the move. Keep checking back on the website for stockists.

Encona Carolina Reaper Sauce

For the most awkward of dads, challenge them to try the Encona Carolina Reaper Sauce. Retailing at about£1.59 in Tesco and Iceland, this super hot sauce contains the worlds hottest chilli pepper. Not only is it tongue-tingling hot, but it’s actually got a great flavour thanks to the tomatoes, garlic, cumin and orange blended in. It tastes amazing with cheese on toast, by the way!

Personalised Denim Apron

We all know a dad that thinks he is the king of the BBQ (seriously, what is with that?), so these personalised denim aprons from Able Labels will go down a treat. Cool, practical and thoughtful, they make a really unique and fun gift. This one costs £15.

Dobell Navy Travel/Performance Slim Fit Suit

You’re gonna have to excuse the stock photo on this one and take my word for it that it looks even better on. Graham wore this to my brother’s wedding – once the official photos are back I’ll be doing a full review on it. Like everything from Dobell, the fit is spot on and the cut and quality is super. This costs £119, and you can buy a waistcoat for £19.99 to wear with it.

Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts

To go with the suit, you’ll need a swanky new shirt and Charles Tyrwhitt has a huge range of formal and casual shirts, perfect for any occasion.

Hallmark Itty Bitty’s and Father’s Day Cards

The Hallmark Itty Bitty’s come in a huge range of characters – we are loving these Flintstones ones at the moment! Don’t forget to pick up a card as well!
