Egyptian Collection Luxury Towelling Dressing Gown | Review and Giveaway

If there’s one thing everyone should own, it’s a decent dressing gown.

For years, I didn’t have one, but when I found out I was pregnant with Harrison, I immediately went out and bought one. Since then, I’ve owned a couple of snuggly soft ones. They’re brilliant for throwing on after a shower, for when I have to get up in the middle night to sort out the kids or let the cats in, and of course, for snuggling up in on an evening.

I’ve never actually had a towelling dressing gown though. I’ve looked at them before and thought just how useful they would be after having a shower, but I also thought they might be a little rough and scratchy. The Towel Shop proved me wrong with this Egyptian Collection Luxury Towelling dressing gown (as they did with the bamboo towels that we reviewed a few months ago!).

The dressing gowns, which are 100% cotton, are available in four colours: silver, cream, white and latte. I went for the grey, which is always the safest colour when children are around!

When it arrived, I couldn’t believe the weight of it – it was really heavy and thick, perfect for the colder months or for drying off after a shower. It has two pockets on the front and a large hood which is perfect for drying my hair. My only criticism would be that it only comes in one size, and if you’re on the larger side, like me, it gapes a lot under the belt. If I’m sitting around the house in it, I need some PJ bottoms or something on, otherwise, I’ll be giving everyone an eyeful.

Prices start at £19.00, which I think is pretty good value for such a heavy weight, good quality dressing gown. They’re available on The Towel Shop website, but if you fancy winning one, enter the giveaway below.
