One thing we knew we wanted to do with Elizabeth was babywear. When you have other kids, it can make life so much easier because you have both hands free to deal with them. I also wanted to be able to go for walks on the beach, which is pretty tricky with a pushchair! We were sent the SnuggleRoo baby carrier from Dreamgenii to try out, and it’s been perfect!
We’ve tried several baby carriers over the years, and so far this has been the easiest and most comfortable one that we have tried. I struggle to work out how things ‘work’ as I am mildly dyspraxic (it took me two weeks and about 15 attempts to work out how to collapse our pushchair!), and while this took me a couple of goes to get it on, it was much more simple than I thought it would be. More importantly than that, it feels super comfortable and safe. I have no fears of Elizabeth dropping out of the bottom, and I’ve done school runs and walks around the park with no strain on my shoulders or back.
The Dreamgenii SnuggleRoo is suitable from birth to twelve months (or 3.6kg – 15kg) and grows with your baby. When baby is all new and little, it cocoons them up tightly to your chest to make them feel safe and secure. As they get older, it can be used to face outwards or on your hip, if that is comfortable for you. It has been designed to follow the International Hip Dysplasia Institute guidelines on safe hip positioning, meaning the baby’s hips fall or spread naturally apart to the side, with the thighs supported and the hips and knees bent.
It’s washable, which is perfect because we all know how babies dribble and spit up milk everywhere, and the middle supporting band doubles up as a handy storage bag for the carrier.
Elizabeth loves being in the Dreamgenii SnuggleRoo and I can see it getting lots of use, particularly over the winter months where she can really snuggle up close to me.
