Gallery Girl, Game of Thrones and Glasses #LittleLoves

This was one of my favourite linkies to join in with last year, but somewhere towards the end of the year, I sort of lost track and completely forgot. My aim for 2017 is to join in as often as I possibly can!

This week’s Little Loves…

Read

I’m in the middle of reading Gallery Girl by Wendy Holden. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book but now Graham works some nights, I can go to bed and read without worrying about disturbing him. I’m aiming to read at least one a month. Considering I used to read a book in about three hours, that should be pretty doable!

Watched

Game of Thrones. We tried watching it when it first came out all those years ago, but we had a newborn baby at the time and I think we were just too knackered to be able to focus properly on it. We have set it to series record on Sky from the beginning and even though six years on we are both still knackered, we’re really enjoying it!

Made

Lots of meals. I’ve started meal planning which has kept me a bit more organised, and when it’s been possible, I’ve made double of everything and frozen it in foil containers for easy home-made ready meals. At the moment I have a huge shepherd’s pie in the oven!

Wore

Glasses!  Just before Christmas, I found out I needed to wear glasses. I was really surprised because I thought I might need them for reading and computers, so was shocked to find out my eyesight is pretty crap and I needed them all the time. I’ve been pretty good, only forgetting them a few times over Christmas. I realise when I have them on how bad my eyesight is – I must have just got used to being as blind as a bat!

Heard

The sound of peace and quiet. Well, for a couple of hours each day anyway. It’s been a lovely Christmas holiday, but so so noisy. The kids at the end of last week/beginning of this week were so ready to go back to school and it was getting very noisy in our house. I’m making the most of the mornings when it is just Benjamin and me!

And lastly

Can you believe it is 2017?  I’m quite excited about the start of a new year for once – I think this year is going to be a good one!

Game of Thrones is so intense isn’t it? I remember watching the first season when I was pregnant with my youngest, it wasn’t definitely harder to follow after I’d had her! I love it though and I’m gutted that this years season isn’t on until later in the year.
    Have a lovely weekend xx
