Four children means that we have A LOT of toys. A lot. Every Christmas, every birthday, a new load comes in and as well as having to find the space for them, it also plays on my mind that many of them will end up in landfills at some point. We donate toys when we no longer need them, but toys don’t last forever. With National Earth Day coming up on the 22nd of April, it really is something we all need to be thinking about when we make purchases.

However, occasionally a manufacturer comes along, and puts sustainability at the core of their products and one of these is Character UK. They have released a range of superb eco-friendly plush toys in characters that our children know and love. We were sent Blippi and JJ from Cocomelon, two of Elizabeth’s favourite characters.

Not only are they made from 100% recycled material, but they are great quality and super cute as well, and at £9.99 each, they make great little gifts.

They have gone everywhere with Elizabeth, – including to the beach, where they ended up taking a little swim in the sea. I can vouch for the fact that they can go through the washing machine pretty well too!
