Teachers Gift Guide 2018

It’s creeping rapidly towards the middle of July (like seriously where has this month gone already?!) and towards the end of the school year. Whilst us parents are all stocking up on wine and gin to see us through the next six or seven weeks, spare a thought for the teachers who have put up with our little ‘darlings’ in the classroom. They’re not paid enough for the hours that they put in, and the care and attention that they show our children. I used to be a teacher, in life before kids, and I couldn’t do it again for all the money in the world. I see how hard my teacher friends work and seriously, anyone who thinks teaching is a 9-5 term-time job – it’s not. Not at all. I like to show my appreciation by getting the kids teachers (and the teaching assistants that work with them, because they are worth their weight in gold!) a little something at the end of term.

It really isn’t about how much money you spend. At Christmas, we make chocolate bark, which literally costs a couple of quid, and i know the teachers love it, but sometimes, you need to go for an easier option. I’ve rounded up a few things that I know I would have loved back when I was teaching.

Personalised Teacher Plaque from Gift Pup

How cute is this? It can be personalized with the name of your child’s teacher and is a really lovely idea – a bit different from the usual mugs and stuff (although, I always did love a mug or ten!). It’s a real keepsake that I’m sure most teachers would really love. Gift Pup have a whole range of gifts for teachers, most of which can be personalized. I also really love the cushions!

Angela Langford Bloom and Glow Face Oil

I absolutely love the Angela Langford range, but this face oil, containing chia seed and sea buckthorn, is amazing. I literally haven’t worn any foundation or highlighter since using this – it gives my skin such a lovely radiant glow – something that at this point in the school year many teachers are lacking!

Olverum Bath Oil

At this time of year, teachers need all the help they can get to relax (or not, because they’re that exhausted!). Treat them to a bit of extra special pamper time with Olverum Bath Oil. This might be quite expensive, but my god, it is worth every single penny. A tiny drop goes a long way and leaves you feeling totally relaxed and your skin smooth and smelling beautiful.

Divine Chocolate Tasting Set

You can never go too wrong with chocolate – and especially not chocolate with such a lovely idea behind it, like this. The tasting kit from Divine has 12 of their luxury milk, white and dark mini chocolate bars, a thank you teacher card and a £1 donation to Trading Visions, which helps small producers.

*We were sent these products free of charge for inclusion in this gift guide. All thoughts and opinions are our own and have not been influenced in any way.
