Paperwork, Trevor and Love Hearts #LittleLoves

This week has been a really strange one, with us all trying to find and adjust to a new routine. I’ve been absolutely exhausted – even though I’m only working part-time, I’ve had to take so much new information and so many new faces in, and I was in for the whole day on Wednesday which meant leaving the house the time we usually get up! I’ve really enjoyed my first week, and I am so glad I made the decision to apply!

Onto this week’s Little Loves…

Read

I’ve barely had a chance to read anything this week, not even blogs! I did have a read of this post by Lou at Birds and Lilies about the things that probably annoy non-bloggers. I’m sure lots of my friends and family can identify with these! Other than that, I’ve just read lots of paperwork, from the staff handbook to levels and information about the kids that I am working with.

Watched

I haven’t watched any films this week (other than endless repeats of Big Hero 6!) which is really unusual for me. I’ll definitely be making up for that on the weekend though – we are planning to have a movie night on Saturday if we can stay awake! I have still been watching lots of NCIS though. I need to find the point where Ziva left and Emily took her spot.

Heard

The lovely relaxing tones of Trevor. Trevor is the man inside my phone who is helping me to relax and adopt a healthier attitude to food and losing weight. He is the voice behind the Slimpod, which is a programme I am following. You can read a little bit more about it here, but basically, I listen to a 10 minute recording every evening just before I go to sleep. His voice is so relaxing and calming!

Wore

Work clothes! I’ve written a post about some of the things I have been wearing to work – leggings (without holes and mashed up biscuit on them) and black trousers have featured very heavily this week.

Made

One of my resolutions this year was to include more craft based stuff on the blog as they are always really popular, and we really like making stuff. On the weekend I made this Valentine’s Day notebook cover, which was a lot of fun. Harrison has stolen it to write down all his ‘very important things’. The kids enjoyed decorating some wooden hearts that we received in our latest Baker Ross craft box – how cute do they look?

And lastly…

I haven’t actually got a clue what to write here because it’s just been a whirlwind of a week, so I’m just going to leave it there!

How was your week?

  1. It sounds like you have just been so busy! I’m off to read Lou’s post as I missed that one so thanks for sharing. have a wonderful weekend x

  2. Congratulations on the new job – I remember those early days when your head is just so full of new info and even your eyes hurt with tiredness. I really worry about what I would wear if I ever went back our to work – Those work suits from when I finished 9 years ago might not be that fashionable now!

  3. Busy week had by all then, Ohh slimpod sounds fun, good luck with that, loving the crafts that you did with the kids too. Have a good week 🙂 x

  4. Sounds you’ve had a busy week! I love that cute Valentines heart your little one made. Baker Ross is fab isn’t it? xx
