Degustabox | December 2017

Our last Degustabox arrived a few days before Christmas.  If you haven’t heard of Degustabox, it’s a monthly food and drinks subscription box, crammed full of goodies. It costs £12.99 a month but the contents are always worth a lot more than that! It’s delivered by DPD, and I get a text message telling me the time lot when it is due to be delivered.

So what was in the December Degustabox?

Coldpress Juice – RRP £1.50

We’ve had Coldpress juices before in the Degustabox and I’ve also reviewed a selection of them on my Instagram separately – I’m a huge fan of them, especially the orange juice. Refreshing and yummy!

Willies Cacao Sea Salt Caramel Black Pearls – RRP £6.59

These were lush. Like, really lush. Dark chocolate and salted caramel are two of my favourite things so put them together and you have little balls of heaven. If someone wants to buy me a box of these, please feel free!

Robinson’s Fruit Creations – RRP £1.99

Graham and the kids drink a lot of squash, and I like a glass of it in the summer. We were sent the pear, blackcurrant and cherry flavour which was lovely, like a more grown-up version of the normal blackcurrant one that we buy. I’ve spotted that some people had apple and elderflower flavour, which sounds right up my street – it’s on my shopping list for this week.

Taking the Pea – RRP £1.50

I’m yet to try these, but they sound really nice and a healthy alternative to crisps. One of my 2018 goals is to carry on losing some weight, so I’m on the lookout for some healthy, high protein snacks.

Ryvita Lightly Salted Rye Cakes – RRP £1.39

We had another variety of these a couple of months ago and I really liked them. I haven’t tried these ones yet – I’ve been saving them to have as an alternative to bread this month but if they’re anything like the other ones, I’ll enjoy them.

Candy Kittens Gourmet Sweets – RRP £3.00

I’m not a fan of sweets, especially sour ones, but Graham and the kids loved these. I am pretty sure we have had these in the Degustabox before!

Popchips Galactic Puffs – RRP £1.99

Graham is literally munching through these as I write this! I’ve tried them, and had to tell him to keep them away from me – they are really moreish.

Planters Nuts – RRP 2 x £1.29

I love nuts – they’re an excellent source of protein. Both packs contain a combination of some of my favourite nuts, and the energy mix has some chocolate covered honeycomb in. Yum!

Sleep Well Drink – RRP £1.75

The photo of this seems to have disappeared, but it’s a small carton of a creamy drink, similar to a thick vanilla milkshake. The idea is you drink it hold or cold about 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep and it helps you to sleep better, thanks to the honey and valerian herbs in it. It tasted nice enough, but I can’t say I noticed any difference and I thought it was expensive for a small carton.

Mary Berry’s Lemon and Mustard Seed Vingarette – RRP£2.99

Another one with a missing photo! This is something we will probably use a lot over the summer when we eat more salad. I love the sound of it!

I was pretty impressed with the December Degustabox – there was nothing in there that I didn’t like, and it was nice to try some new things. I’m looking forward to seeing what the 2018 Degustaboxes bring!
