Meal Planning Monday 4/11/19

We are now in the penultimate month of this year – this decade, in fact! It’s quite scary how quickly this year has gone, and it’s only going to go faster!

Last week was half term and I didn’t get the chance to do a meal plan. We had quite a quiet week – it was Alex’s birthday on Tuesday, and he had three friends around on Saturday night for pizza and a sleepover but that was the extent of our half term plans. Our days and weekends are always so busy that it is sometimes nice to have a bit of downtime.

This week is also a relatively quiet one. I’m having lunch at Harrison’s school today – each class invited the parents in once a year to have a cooked meal. I’ve never had the chance to go before because it clashed with the nursery runs, but this year I don’t have that excuse. I went to Ben’s a few weeks ago and it was lovely, so I’m looking forward to it. School lunches have definitely improved since I was at school!

  1. I haven’t made a cauliflower cheese in ages. You’ve got me in the mood for it now. Enjoy your school dinner.

  2. I love meal planning it helps me keep on track with spending and also to eat more healthy ofoods. It also means that we reduce the amount of waste!

  3. Your meal plan includes a really good variety of dishes. I find myself reverting to old favourites so often that they are no longer favourites.

  4. So funny that I’ve sat and read this tonight as I’ve meal planned today for the first time EVER! We have roast dinner, chicken curry, fajitas, cowboy bean pie, mac n cheese, fish and chips and pasta bake

  5. toad in the hole and cauliflower cheese are two of my favourite. My family keep on at me to make a cottage pie. I think I may just put one on the menu next week,
