Living Arrows posts two weeks on the bounce…I’m on a roll!
We had a pretty tough week last week. Our cat, Daisy, who we adopted just over two years ago suddenly became very poorly on Tuesday. By Thursday, it had become very clear that the kindest thing to do was to have her put to sleep. We were all absolutely gutted because, even though she was one of the most unsociable cats you could imagine, she was very much a part of our family. The kids were in the room at the vet’s when she went to sleep, and we were so proud of how maturely they dealt with it. There have been tears, of course, and on Friday Ben was very anxious any time Ellie (our other cat) went out of his sight, but they’ve coped brilliantly. Luckily, we had a nice weekend planned to take their minds off it. On Friday evening, Harrison’s best friend from school came for tea and to play, and then on Saturday, we went to Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which I’ll be writing about on the blog very soon.

We had confirmation of Ben’s nursery school place this week. He’s off to the same school that Harrison and Alex are at, although Harrison won’t be there in September. He’s SO excited about wearing a little school uniform and having a book bag of his very own.
Last week I said how this little dude has been a bit of a pain in the arse lately. I’m pleased to say that, whilst still no angel, we’ve generally got our nice little Alex back!
We’ve also had confirmation of Harrison’s junior school place this week. He’s off to the school that is next door to the Infant school – he’s so excited. I can’t quite get my head around having a child who is nearly at junior school!
Oh I’m so sorry for your loss – it brought me right back to letting my childhood cat go, just so, so sad x
I love that photo of Ben – too cute! I’m sure Harrison will love Junior school, E’s not found much of a difference with the move this year. It’s crazy how fast they’re growing up isn’t it? #LivingArrows
So sorry about your cat , it is so hard losing a pet.
