Dressing a Bump with Yours Clothing |Review

The good thing about being heavily pregnant over the height of the summer (and believe me, there isn’t many good things about it!) is that I have been able to pretty much live in my lovely floaty maxi dresses, mostly negating the need for maternity wear. However, the weather hasn’t been as great lately, and if I’m honest, I’m sick of wearing maxi dresses. Thankfully, Yours Clothing, who are of my favourite clothing brands, came to the rescue with a couple of outfits from the Bump It Up maternity range.

As I said, Yours Clothing is probably my favourite clothing brand. We have a store in Rhyl, and it’s one of the very few clothing stores I can guarantee coming out with something I love and that fits me. As an almost 6ft plus-sized woman, that’s no easy feat! I’ve not ordered anything off their website before, but I was confident that by ordering my usual size, I would have something that fitted me, and I wasn’t wrong.

The first thing that caught my eye was this gorgeous navy and white stripy top. I love navy – it’s not as harsh as black, and I love the sort of nautical vibe to it. I particularly loved it because of the wrap style – at 37 weeks pregnant, I’m of course thinking about what I’m going to wear after having baby girl, and clothes that I can feed in. This will be perfect for breastfeeding in, and will bridge that gap before you fit into your normal clothes. It’s super comfortable and flattering, and I love it. I, of course, needed something to go on the bottom half of me – my faded old leggings weren’t going to cut it! I did opt for leggings because they are aro easy and comfortable, both now and post-birth, but I went for a navy pair, which felt a little smarter and look great with the top. They’re thick and high waisted.

I then chose this black fitted tube dress. I normally shy away from anything fitted, especially around my tummy, but when I’m pregnant, I actually feel pretty confident about the way I look. I figured this dress again will carry me through to after she’s born as well, and is so comfy and versatile. I could dress it up with some nice shoes – if I could get them on my poor swollen feet, or throw on some converse for a casual look. It’s one of those dresses that are easy to wash, dry and (hopefully!) doesn’t need ironing, which at this point of the pregnancy, I am more than grateful for!

Finally, to go with the black dress, I chose a gorgeous bright pink waterfall cardigan. I love this style of a cardigan because they’re so easy to wear and layer up – again, something that will be important when I am breastfeeding.
